Exciting news from Fluid Player! We are thrilled to introduce our latest innovation: the Fluid Player Mini Player. As you already know, Fluid Player is your go-to HTML5 lightweight video player, renowned for its flexibility and customization options, making it a favorite among website publishers. With our commitment to enhancing user experience, we are proud to announce the addition of the Mini Player feature in our latest update. Now, your audience can toggle the default player, minimizing it and placing it in the corner of the screen while seamlessly navigating the web page. This intuitive feature ensures uninterrupted browsing while enjoying your video content. The best part? End users can dive into the Mini Player experience right away, without any additional steps required from publishers. Whether showcasing your website content or monetizing video advertising, Fluid Player's Mini Player is here to elevate your user engagement effortlessly.
Fluid Player’s new Mini Player feature brings a multitude of benefits to enhance the end user’s experience on your website. Let’s look at some of these benefits:
Fluid Player’s Mini Player not only mirrors the sleek design of YouTube's Mini Player but also operates seamlessly, replicating the functionality of the default player. This means users can enjoy the same intuitive interface and seamless navigation that they are accustomed to while experiencing your content. The identical set of features offers a consistent and user-friendly experience, making the transition between the Mini Player and the default player effortless:
#2 VAST standard supported:
#3 Monetizing video advertising and live streaming video ads.
#4 Timeline Preview
#5 Autoplay control
#6 VR and VPAID
The Mini Player can be closed by clicking the “X” button pausing the video and returning it to its original position and size as the default player. It can also be closed by clicking the main video placeholder or the Mini Player button, to return the video to its original state while keeping the video playing, so that the end user’s viewing of the video doesn’t get interrupted.
Considering that the majority of mobile devices operate through touchscreens, the Mini Player's interface has been optimized for mobile users. Users can just tap it on their screen, and the main video comes back instantly. Alternatively, by swiping left or right, the Mini Player closes, and the video pauses. It's all designed to be smooth and straightforward.
Fluid Player is the ultimate choice for website owners seeking a personalized video player experience, and this extends to its new feature, the Mini Player. As a website owner, you have the freedom to tailor how the Mini Player looks and behaves to align perfectly with your site's aesthetics and user experience. The best part? You can dive right in with the default settings, as the Mini Player is fully functional out of the box.
With Fluid Player’s latest update, the Mini Player option comes enabled by default. However, if you prefer not to use the Mini Player, disabling it altogether is also an option, giving you complete control over your website's video playback features.
The Mini Player supports any width or height above 400 pixels by 225 pixels, including:
The position is by default the bottom right corner of the screen, but this can be changed to any other corner. And the default message that shows the Mini Player is active can also be modified.
The Mini Player can automatically toggle when the user scrolls the player out of view. This feature is particularly handy for pages with auto-play or those aiming to keep users engaged while they navigate through the content.
