We’re sizzling our eggs on the sidewalk here at EXADS HQ for a summer load of hot new features. Here are just some of the new features we plan to ship your way over the coming months in Q3 2022.

EXADS Ad Server Management Experience

Compliance Audits on Campaigns

We have been researching this for a number of months now and fielded much feedback from our clients. In Q3 we plan to introduce a feature allowing Administrators to review and audit newly-added campaigns on their Ad Server. This compliance audit feature will allow them to approve or reject campaigns for running on their Ad Server. Giving them more control over what campaigns are running at any time.

Switching Currencies on Dashboards and Statistics

Currently the only currency available to Administrative users in Dashboards and Statistics is the default currency of the Ad Server as chosen during onboarding. With this feature we plan to provide the Administrative user with the ability to switch between currencies within their user profile. Their options will be EUR and USD and will be applied across their Dashboard and Statistics view of the admin panel.

Ad Requests in Statistics

We have many different ad formats available to our clients and their Advertisers. We’re introducing a new metric of Ad Requests to our existing Dashboards and Statistics with the purpose of being able to provide visibility on this metric across all ad formats on our Ad Servers.

Enhanced Statistics for Account Managers

Currently in the Admin Panel, Account Managers can only see metrics in Statistics that directly relate to traffic and campaigns for the Publishers and Advertisers that they manage. We now want to enhance these metrics so they include information about Publishers, Sites and Advertisers buying or selling traffic on the accounts they manage. For example an Advertising Account Manager with this feature will soon be able to report on Publishers and Sites that are sending traffic to the campaigns of Advertisers they are managing. Even though they are not directly managing those Publishers. Likewise Publishing Account Managers will soon be able to see reports on Advertisers and Campaigns that are buying traffic from their Publishers.

New System Role: Business Developer

We recently delivered the ability to set up Account Managers as a role in the Admin Panel. We have received feedback from a number of clients that in addition to this they would also like to introduce the ability to add users under a new role of “Business Developer”. Essentially with the same functionality as an “Account Manager”. They will experience the Admin Panel in terms of the clients they are managing at any one time. We hear you and we plan to get this out in Q3 very soon!

Publisher Experience

Iframes for Native Ads

One important request from our clients is to add the ability to source external iframes for Native Ads. There are multiple benefits in doing this including allowing for self management and optimization at the advertiser level. By using Iframes we guarantee a better security control over how these may affect a publisher website.

Ad Refresh Public Release

Over the past few months we have worked on a new functionality for the platform: Ad Refresh. This feature provides publishers with the tools to define the frequency of when ads refresh with a new one in a specific ad zone. We are aiming at making this fully and publicly available during Q3.

Advertiser Experience

Redesign of Advertiser Payments Page

We’ve done a spring clean on our Advertiser Payments page. We’ve prototyped some new and exciting designs, tested them with actual users and now we want to take the Advertiser payment experience to the next level. All the existing payment types will be there but in a new revamped interface that will make payments streamlined and more intuitive for Advertisers.

New Bidder Metric: Profit

We keep on improving the Bidder so it becomes THE tool that advertisers can use to automatically optimize their campaign bids based on the performance they have across different dimensions. A metric we see currently missing but that has high importance is Profit, we are aiming to deliver it in Q3.

And a few more things…

Saving Filters on Statistics

Our Statistics pages come packed with lots of informative dimensions and accompanying metrics. Often we find ourselves building out awesome filter sets only to come back later and find we have to add those filters again! No longer! We are going to introduce a way for users across the Administrative, Publishing and Advertising experiences of our platform to set up filters as they do today on Statistics pages and then save those filter sets for use when they return in a subsequent user session. Saving time and patience when it comes to efficient reporting on the dimensions and metrics that matter most.

Include / Exclude on Filters

In addition to the above we are already introducing the ability for users to either Include or Exclude filters for dimensions on key reports and pages in their Admin Panel. Pages like the Zones Page in Admin View have gotten this treatment so far. Next up are the following pages - Sites (Admin View), Accounts, Admin Users, Media Library, Campaigns & Statistics.

Drag, Drop & Expand Dashboard Widgets

We’ve been working hard at enhancing our Dashboard experience for all users of the platform. Most recently with the ability to add multiple Dashboard pages on the Admin Panel. In Q3 we now plan to launch a new feature that will allow users to drag Widgets around on their Dashboard for better positioning. In addition users will also be able to expand dashboard widgets to twice or four times their original size. Giving users more visibility on key dimensions and metrics.

Video Files Optimization

Performance is of the utmost importance in Ad Serving, we are working to further optimize the quality and size of all video files served by the platform. By optimizing video files uploaded into the platform, we guarantee that we will be able to serve the right asset with the right quality to the end user. This will allow not only a reduction in CDN usage by serving smaller files when applicable, but also drive up revenue performance thanks to faster loading times.

Coming Soon…

Stripe for Advertisers

Stripe is a well documented and widely used payment platform for accepting card payments. We plan to roll out the ability for Advertisers to pay using cards when funding their campaigns and using the Stripe platform. Particularly useful for our Ad Serving clients based outside of the EEA. First we will look at manual payment processing. From there we will introduce the ability for automatic recharges and for Advertisers to save their card details for subsequent transactions.
